Protection and cleaning of laser lens
It is most important to keep the laser lens clean. Clean the lens carefully with good cleaning habits to reduce or eliminate the pollution caused by human factors, such as fingerprints or spittle spray. As common sense, when operating the optical system by hand, you should wear fingertips, medical gloves, or dust-free gloves when cleaning, disassembling, and installing. Always follow the requirements and precautions for cleaning the lens. Do not use any tools to operate the laser lens, including tweezers. For the purpose of protection, the optical elements should always be placed on the provided wiping paper. During the cleaning process, only the specified materials, such as optical wiping paper, cotton swab reagent grade ethanol, etc., can be used.
Taking shortcuts to the cleaning, disassembly, and installation of the laser lens will shorten the service life of the lens, and even cause permanent damage. After determining that a lens is polluted, blow the lens with an ear ball until there is no dust on its surface. Never blow it directly with your mouth, because most of the air blown out contains oil, and water will further pollute the lens. If there is still dirt on the surface of the ear ball after treatment, we must gently wipe it with a special cotton swab dipped in acetone and ether mixture, so that most of the pollutants can be removed.
The pollution of the laser lens in the equipment will have a serious impact on the laser output power, and even cause serious errors in the data acquisition system. If we can keep the lens clean, it will undoubtedly prolong the service life of the whole machine.
Cleaning and maintenance of focusing lens
The focusing lens material is ZnSe or arsenic zincate, which is brittle and fragile; Attention should be paid during disassembly and assembly: do not use too much force, and do not collide with hard objects. There is an antireflective film on the surface, which is afraid of pollution, humidity, oiliness, and scratching; Therefore, it is required to provide dry and degreased air in the work. Please use the recommended cleaning equipment and methods when cleaning.
Cleaning steps:
①Loosen the fastening screws and remove the air nozzle and lens barrel in turn; First, use a blowing balloon to blow away the dust on the surface of the lens;
②If you really need to clean the lens, you can only use laboratory-grade paper soft cotton balls, dip an appropriate amount of acetone or high storage alcohol, and gently rotate clockwise from the center of the lens to the edge. Both sides of the lens need to be cleaned when necessary, and care should be taken when scrubbing;
③Install the lens barrel and air nozzle, adjust the focal length and tighten the fastening screws.
