We are one of the concave lens magnIfying glass manufacturing factories in China. We have a variety of Plano-concave Lenses for sale.Welcome to contact us.
A plano-concave lens is used to diverge parallel light outward. The focal length of the plano-concave static lens is negative, and the spherical aberration is also negative. It can be used to correct the phase difference, spherical aberration, coma, and distortion of other lenses. Similar to a convex mirror, one side of the curved surface is generally opposite to the far object surface or infinity.
The focal length of the plano-concave lens is negative, and the parallel beam will diverge after it is incident on the plano-concave lens. The outgoing light cannot converge into a point but seems to diverge from a virtual image point located in the object space. When the absolute conjugate ratio is greater than 5:1 or less than 1:5, the plano-concave lens is the best shape negative lens to reduce spherical aberration, coma, and distortion. The plano-concave surface of the plano-concave lens should face the direction of the object, but when applied to high-energy laser systems, it should be placed in the opposite direction to reduce the possibility of focusing the remaining reflected light on the surface.

What is the purpose of the plano-concave lens?
A plano-concave lens is a kind of optical lens with a negative focal length. It has a concave surface. It is an ideal lens for beam diffusion, light projection, or expanding the focal length of the optical system. It is suitable for a series of applications and various industries.
The difference between a concave lens and a convex lens
1. Different structure
A convex lens is composed of a transparent lens body with two sides ground into a sphere;
A concave mirror is composed of a mirror body with a concave surface on one side and an opaque surface on the other.
2. Different imaging properties
A convex lens is an image formed by refraction, which can be positive or inverted; Empty and solid; Release and shrink. Play a condensing role;
A concave mirror is a reflection image, which can be an inverted reduced, or enlarged real image and can also be an upright enlarged virtual image. An astigmatic lens (including a convex lens) is an instrument that allows light to pass through and use light to form an image after folding. Light obeys the law of refraction.
3. Different effects on light
Convex lens mainly converges light;
The concave lens mainly plays the role of divergence of light.
4. Different imaging
A convex lens can form large real images such as upright magnified virtual images, inverted magnified real images and inverted reduced real images;
A concave lens can only form an orthostatic reduced virtual image.
5. Different uses
A convex lens is used for hyperopia glasses. A convex lens can be used for magnifying glasses, glasses worn by presbyopia and hyperopia people, cameras, movie projectors, slide projectors, microscopes, and telescopes.
